Stoppages on the Rochdale
Rochdale Canal News December 2005
At long last, British Waterways have announced their plans for the
repair of the Irk Aqueduct at Chadderton on the Rochdale Canal. The
canal has been closed at that point since the embankment breached
in April 2005. Work to rebuild the embankment is to start in January
2006 and is expected to take 20 weeks.
